We need samples for:
September & December 2024 – Discovery and Black

Send samples as soon as possible.

For our Discovery case we are looking for high quality (imported) wines in the range of $25 – $35 (including taxes) in quantities of up to 35 cases* for whites and up to 55 cases* for reds.

Wines in our Black case are in the range of $45 – $60 (including taxes). We will need up to 12 cases* of white and 27 cases* of red (imported) wine.

* Case counts assume 12-packs

You’ll be paid promptly (right before the wines are delivered), directly by the consumer and we’ll take a small commission.

The WineAlign Exchange is a subscription service where consumers receive a curated, mixed case of consignment and private order wine (imported) once every three months. We currently have about 600 quarterly subscribers to our Discovery Case and 150 subscribers to our Black Case.

Discovery Cases (Price: $25 – $35/bottle): we are especially looking for wines from countries other than Italy.

Mixed: 4 bottles of white, 8 bottles of red = 12 bottles

All Red: 6 different red wines (2 bottles of each) = 12 bottles

Final order numbers for the September cases will be known at the end of August, but we expect that we will need up to 35 (12-packs) cases if it’s in the MIXED case or up to 55 (12-packs) cases if it’s also in the ALL RED case.

Black Cases (Price $45 – $60/bottle): we are especially looking for wines from countries other than Italy.

Mixed: 2 different whites (2 bottles each), 4 different reds (2 bottles of each) = 12 bottles

All Red: 4 different red wines (3 bottles of each) = 12 bottles

• You are paid just before wines ship to consumers; no payment terms and no chasing down payments.
• All purchasing is completely automated – you don’t deal with credit cards, we do.
• One stop delivery of all wines to our cellaring facility.
• Move large volumes with no sales expenses.
• Reconciliation spreadsheets have complete customer details, all fees, and will balance to the penny with your Merchant account.
• Financial transactions are directly with customer. They get a receipt from your organization.
• If a customer asks for an invoice, it is easy to prepare invoice from spreadsheets.
• Potential for follow on case sales that can be made with only a few mouse clicks.

How will it work?

• You register your agency with our Merchant Gateway and provide your banking information. Click here for more information about how this works.
• You will receive full customer details in a reconciliation spreadsheet. Invoices are only required if customer requests them.
• We facilitate the transaction and the customer will receive a purchase email from you with your logo and contact information.
• Consumer’s credit card statement will say: “WINE – Your Agency/Winery”.
• Money will be deposited into your Merchant Gateway account immediately less a 12% commission (+HST) and credit card processing fees (2.9% + $0.30/transaction). Merchant Gateway balances are transferred to your bank account every few days.
• You deliver all the wines to the Exchange cellaring facility. One stop delivery.
• You will receive an (already paid) invoice for our commission at month end to allow you to reconcile your books.

What are your costs?

• A 12% commission on the base cost of the wine + HST
• A credit card processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30/transaction
• Cost to deliver wines to our Toronto warehouse

Samples should be clearly marked that they are for an Exchange tasting and should include a completed spreadsheet/submission form (download here). Please note that the vintage we taste and approve must be the same vintage that will be available for the case.
